Misting systems offer significant relief for Rabbitries, reducing heat stress and mortality rates. It is essential to maintain a healthy and cool environment for these small animals when kept in lodging to prevent the possibility of strokes. The quality of meat production is closely related to the furry animals' habitat and well-being.
Traditionally, the evaporative cooling efficiency has been used to describe misting systems for Rabbit lodging. While this works well for evaporative pad systems, it is inadequate for misting systems because they are strongly influenced by water pressure and ventilation rates.
The portion of the misting rate that evaporates was studied in two previous studies, and data were obtained for this study using theoretical connections. A theoretical analysis relating individual droplet evaporation to evaporation rates showed that evaporation efficiency is strongly influenced by initial droplet sizes, which are affected by water pressure in traditional misting systems.
